Poland is implementing various infrastructure projects to modernize its public transport networks, focusing on both road-based and rail-based transit.

In the municipal sector, local governments are upgrading bus stop facilities. In Kamesznica, work is underway to replace five shelters to improve safety and comfort. In Wrocław, a broader program is transitioning bus stops from traditional cobblestone to more durable concrete technology.

Regional railway modernization is expanding through several major initiatives. On the Bielsko-Biała to Skoczów line, PKP PLK is conducting technical inspections to determine which existing infrastructure can be reused. This strategy aims to reduce the estimated project cost from 719 million PLN toward the original 350 million PLN target, with construction tenders expected in early 2027 and completion projected for 2029.

In the Świętokrzyskie region, nearly 25 million PLN has been allocated for the renovation and creation of seven new railway stops on the Połaniec-Staszów-Kielce line. This includes the return of passenger services to Chmielnik via a new platform and the establishment of the Staszów-Wschód stop to improve connectivity to Kielce.

Further large-scale developments include the Zabrzeg – Zebrzydowice route modernization, a 1.7 billion PLN project supported by EU funding. This includes the construction of a steel-and-concrete bridge over 600 meters long in Zebrzydowice to improve rail traffic between the Czech Republic and southern Polish cities. Additionally, administrative permission has been granted for the reconstruction of the historic PKP station in Augustów, with construction expected to begin in January 2027.
