Poland is set to implement new road regulations regarding electronic tolling. Starting September 21, 2026, passenger cars with trailers will no longer be required to use the e-TOLL system, provided the total permissible mass of the vehicle set does not exceed 3.5 tons.

Under these new rules, affected vehicles will be removed from the e-TOLL register. Owners with unused prepaid amounts or security deposits in accounts dedicated to these vehicle sets may apply for a refund. To avoid losing these funds to the National Road Fund (Krajowy Fundusz Drogowy), applications must be submitted within six months of the regulation taking effect.
