Various regions across Poland are organizing commemorations for the 46th anniversary of the August Agreements and the founding of the NSZZ Solidarność trade union. These historical events in 1980 established the first independent labor union in the Eastern Bloc.

Ceremonies include religious services, such as a mass for the Fatherland in Nowy Sącz and a Holy Mass in Radomsko, alongside flower-laying rituals at monuments and plaques dedicated to figures like Blessed Father Jerzy Popiełuszko. 

In addition to formal ceremonies, several locations are hosting historical exhibitions. In Wyszków, the St. Wojciech Parish is displaying memorabilia from the era, including leaflets and posters used during street protests. Similarly, the Municipal Public Library in Radomsko is presenting an exhibition titled ‘August 1980 in the Pages of History’.
