Infrastructure modernization efforts in Poland are expanding across various regions, focusing on road safety and the development of cycling networks.

In the Toruń region, specific projects include the opening of a new one-kilometer bitumen bicycle path in Turzno, funded by Toruń County and the Lysomice Municipality. Additionally, Toruń City Hall has initiated public consultations to address cycling conditions in the Old Town. Recent planning in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian region includes the selection of Biuro Projektów Trasa to develop a concept for a new road corridor near Toruń, which may serve as an alternative to the DK10 by connecting Toruń with provincial road 569.

Broader national developments include the expansion of cycling infrastructure in the Opole Agglomeration and Bielsko-Biała. In Bielsko-Biała, over 21 million PLN has been allocated for the VeloBiała route, which includes reconstructing nine intersections and installing the city’s first bicycle counter. In Kędzierzyn-Koźle, a 4-kilometer cycling route between Cisowa and Sławięcice is being developed via the Polish-Swiss Program for Urban Development. In Pomerania, GDDKiA is progressing with an 8-kilometer pedestrian and bicycle path between Malbork and Sztum along the DK55, slated for 2027–2028.

Road safety projects continue with the implementation of a turbine roundabout in Łódź, a major roundabout reconstruction in Gniezno, and a new sidewalk in Warzyce. The A2 motorway expansion will incorporate long-distance average speed measurement systems. Furthermore, the expansion of the DK28 between Długie and Sanok is entering public consultation with four proposed route variants.
