Law enforcement in Tijuana has conducted several arrests involving weapons and outstanding warrants. On October 22, municipal police detained an individual in the El Florido neighborhood for possession of a rifle and a bulletproof vest. The suspect reportedly had an active warrant for aggravated illegal deprivation of liberty and domestic violence.

On October 29, state agents arrested an American citizen in Tijuana’s Zona Centro. The individual was wanted in Nevada for alleged first-degree kidnapping and conspiracy to commit kidnapping related to a 2021 incident in Las Vegas. During the arrest, authorities also reportedly found cocaine in her possession. The suspect is currently in custody pending potential extradition to the United States.
