In Palmeira dos Índios, Alagoas, judicial proceedings are moving forward regarding the death of Gabriel Lincoln. The teenager was shot in the back during a police pursuit in May of the previous year.

A hearing is being held to determine if the three military police officers involved will face formal charges and be sent to a jury trial. The officers had previously been placed on preventive leave, and legal counsel for the family expects evidence to support a jury trial.
