In early September, authorities in Villa María and Villa Nueva detained a minor for illegal weapon possession in barrio Los Olmos, apprehended two men for a mobile phone robbery in barrio San Justo, and arrested a man in Villa Nueva after finding him in a food truck with various items.

By mid-September, the Departamental General San Martín police in Villa María detained an 18-year-old man following raids related to a residential robbery on Sucre Street. Using security camera footage, investigators identified suspects involved in the theft of televisions and other items. The investigation, led by René Emilio Bosio, continues as authorities seek to identify other participants and recover stolen property.

On September 11, authorities in Villa María arrested four individuals in connection with an assault that resulted in the death of 44-year-old Rolando Gabriel Álvez. Álvez, the owner of an automotive agency on Entre Ríos Street, was shot in the abdomen during a robbery and later died at Hospital Pasteur.

Following the robbery, police conducted an operation in Pilar, intercepting four suspects—one woman and three men, aged 40 to 44—on National Route 9. Law enforcement seized two vehicles, a Toyota Hilux and a Chevrolet Tracker, a firearm with ammunition, and a significant amount of cash in pesos, US dollars, and checks. The investigation is being led by Prosecutor René Bosio of the Villa María Instruction Court of Multiple Jurisdiction.
