Law enforcement activities in Vitória da Conquista, Bahia, have involved both targeted operations against organized crime and high-speed pursuits.

In early October, police conducted ‘Operation Geodo’ to combat drug trafficking. This operation resulted in the arrest of five individuals and the discovery of a reinforced ‘bunker’ within a building under renovation. Authorities seized drugs, R$ 30,000 in cash, surveillance equipment, and various tools used for criminal activity.

Later in the month, a police pursuit following a robbery report led to a confrontation near a local Urgent Care Unit (UPA). During the chase, two individuals—a 27-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy—were struck by gunfire. While the origin of the shots remains undetermined by the Military Police, the incident caused temporary disruptions to medical services at the UPA.
