Developments: 2. The Polish Cup tournament has seen several notable results as teams advance to the round of 16. In one match, third-division side Siarka Tarnobrzeg defeated the reigning champions, Lech Poznań, with a 1-0 score. Siarka Tarnobrzeg secured the win via a 64th-minute goal by Arkadiusz Kasia, who scored with a header from a Bruno Wacławek corner. Lech Poznań played much of the match with ten men following a red card to Yannick Agnero, who received a second yellow card in first-half stoppage time, but they could not overcome Siarka’s defense. This victory follows Siarka Tarnobrzeg’s previous elimination of Zagłębie Lubin, and the club now advances to the 1/8 finals. This result contributes to a broader trend of upsets in the current season, where a significant number of Ekstraklasa teams have been eliminated before the round of 16. In another fixture, Stal Rzeszów overcame Arka Gdynia to progress to the 1/8 finals. Despite an early lead by Arka Gdynia’s Michał Milewski, Stal Rzeszów achieved a comeback through substitute Aleksander Buksa, who scored twice in the 77th and 81st minutes. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-29: Stal Rzeszów defeats Arka Gdynia in Polish Cup Aleksander Buksa scored two late goals as a substitute to lead Stal Rzeszów to a comeback victory over Arka Gdynia, securing advancement to the Polish Cup 1/8 finals. 4 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/aleksander-buksa-secures-stal-rzeszw-advancement-in-polish-cup ### 2026-10-28: Lech Poznań eliminated from Polish Cup by Siarka Tarnobrzeg Polish champions Lech Poznań were eliminated from the Polish Cup after a 1:0 loss to third-division Siarka Tarnobrzeg. 15 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/legia-warsaw-youth-team-wins-uefa-youth-league-opener --- Cite as: Polish Cup tournament results.
