President Karol Nawrocki reappointed General Wiesław Kukuła to a three-year term as the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, effective October 10. The formal presentation of the appointment is scheduled for November 11.

Following his reappointment, General Kukuła led a delegation to Turkey to inspect defense technologies and explore cooperation aimed at strengthening NATO’s eastern flank. The visit included inspections of facilities at ROKETSAN, TUSAŞ, and ASELSAN. The Polish delegation reviewed various systems, including the TAYFUN short-range ballistic missile, air defense solutions like the SUNGUR mobile system, and unmanned aerial platforms such as the ANKA III. These efforts are intended to support the transformation of the Polish Armed Forces by enhancing long-range precision strike and air defense capabilities.
