Poland has held recent commemorations for its military branches. The nation celebrated the 30th anniversary of Land Forces Day, with the Minister of National Defence highlighting military modernization and the need for interoperability with allies to counter hybrid threats.

Following this, the Territorial Defence Forces (WOT) held an anniversary ceremony at the Museum of the Battle of Warsaw 1920. Officials noted the WOT’s role in protecting borders and strengthening the eastern flank amidst the war in Ukraine. To address threats on the Belarusian border, Poland is developing the ‘East Shield’ (Tarcza Wschód) National Deterrence and Defense Program to enhance reconnaissance and fire support capabilities.
