Various Polish municipalities have launched swimming initiatives for primary school students to promote physical health and water safety.

In Dziwnów, the ‘Aktywna Gmina Dziwnów’ initiative provides free monthly lessons and transportation for students in grades 1–8. Mayor Łukasz Dzioch noted that these skills are essential for children living in a coastal community.

In Krzeszowice, the ‘Już pływam 2026’ program supports third-grade students through funding from the Małopolska Voivodeship and the municipality. Meanwhile, in Sokółka, the Sports and Recreation Center is offering free courses for grades 1–3, funded by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, focusing on both water familiarization and technique refinement.
