To combat these risks, experts promoted lifestyle-based prevention—such as managing blood pressure and diet—noting that such measures can reduce dementia risk by up to 45%.

More recently, neurologists have advocated for a national strategy including a ‘National Neurological Network’ and the ‘10 Commandments of Health’ for disease prevention. Amidst these calls for structural change, medical research in Gdańsk is progressing on an innovative MS therapy. Using the molecule CF₃-7α,25-OHC, researchers aim to both reduce inflammation and stimulate myelin repair, moving toward clinical applications with support from the Czech investment fund LIFE bioCEEd.
