Public transport operators in Poland are modernizing their fleets through the acquisition of electric buses and supporting infrastructure.

In late August 2026, Grupa Polsat Plus announced the expansion of its Świdnik factory to produce electric buses alongside its hydrogen-powered models. The company secured a contract worth over 28 million PLN to provide nine electric buses to PKM Świerklaniec, a project supported by the Just Transition Fund. These vehicles are expected to be delivered in early 2027.

By September 2026, several regional operators reported successful fleet integrations. In Jaworzno, PKM Jaworzno added seven electric buses to its fleet with support from the European Funds for Silesia 2021-2027 Program. In the Podkarpackie region, PKS Rzeszów S.A. received 15 Golden Dragon electric buses through a project valued at over 47 million PLN, funded largely by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (KPO). This expansion included the installation of mobile chargers and technical equipment.
