Poland is undertaking several major road infrastructure projects managed or overseen by the Generalna Dyrekcja Dróg Krajowych i Autostrad (GDDKiA).

In Kraków, a 2.3 million PLN project is scheduled to expand the Bieżanów junction, connecting the A4 motorway and the S7 route. The work, which includes rebuilding an embankment and adding a second lane to the Warsaw-bound exit, is expected to last approximately eight months.

Further developments include a renovation of a 9-kilometer section of the S5 expressway between the A2 Poznań Wschód and Strumiany junctions, a project valued at over 13.8 million PLN. Additionally, plans have been finalized for a new junction connecting the S11 expressway with the A1 motorway in Piekary Śląskie, part of a broader 65-kilometer S11 project in the Silesian Voivodeship.
