Senator Raúl Morón Orozco recently completed a tour of informative assemblies across all districts in Michoacán. The tour was intended to promote national sovereignty and the ‘Cuarta Transformación’ (Fourth Transformation) project led by President Claudia Sheinbaum, involving meetings with unions, youth, and civil organizations.

Following this tour, Morón Orozco entered a period of political uncertainty. He announced he would decide his political future within 15 days after reviewing legal options and consulting his team. He indicated he may challenge internal Morena party processes and noted he has been approached by national leaders and Carlos Torres Piña, the coordinator in defense of the Fourth Transformation in Michoacán. Morón Orozco also mentioned his team is exploring legal resources via the National Commission of Honesty and Justice in response to what he described as a ‘black campaign’ involving allegations related to the murder of Carlos Manzo.
