Mayor Pedro Nascimento Cabral stated the revision promotes sustainable growth and infrastructure efficiency. Concurrently, local leaders are addressing economic concerns regarding the tourism sector. The president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ponta Delgada noted a perceived lack of professionalism in tourism management, while the Azores Local Accommodation Association reported that low-season travel prices have doubled compared to the previous year.
