In October 2026, several pop culture and anime conventions are scheduled to take place in Mexico City and Guayaquil.

In Mexico City, the inaugural Yokai MX Expo is set for October 24 and 25 at Expo Reforma. Organizers Víctor Luna and Luis Castañeda intend for the event to foster community through anime, manga, video games, and traditional Japanese folklore. The program includes art exhibitions, tournaments, and a cosplay championship with an 80,000-peso prize pool, featuring 11 international guests.

Additionally, Editorial Panini will host ‘La Experiencia Dimensions’ at InSpace Polanco on October 17 and 18, featuring manga, comics, K-pop, and voice actors from ‘Pokémon’ and ‘Demon Slayer’. In Guayaquil, the 14th Budokan convention will be held at the Palacio de Cristal, focusing on Asian culture and hosting the national final of the World Cosplay Summit Ecuador.
