Popeyes is expanding its presence in Romania, recently opening its first restaurant in Timișoara at the Shopping City Timișoara commercial complex. This launch represents the fourth city in the country to receive a new location in 2026, following openings in Suceava, Cluj-Napoca, and Târgu Mureș.

Jakub Aleksandrowicz, Marketing Director for Popeyes Central and Eastern Europe, described the Timișoara opening as a “key step” in an ambitious strategic plan to establish the fast-food chain in every major Romanian city. Since entering the Romanian market four years ago, the company has grown to 23 locations nationwide.
