Infraestruturas de Portugal has initiated a public tender valued at approximately 9.26 million euros for the procurement of rails to modernize the Casa Branca–Beja section of the Alentejo Line. The contract requires the acquisition of 8,300 tons of 60E1 type rails, with phased deliveries scheduled between 2027 and 2030. This follows a separate tender launched in late September for multipurpose monoblock sleepers, also valued at approximately 9.5 million euros, as part of the same modernization project.
