The National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection (ANEPC) has scheduled the 14th edition of the “A Terra Treme” national earthquake awareness exercise for November 5 at 11:05. This drill, which coincides with World Tsunami Awareness Day, encourages citizens to practice safety gestures such as “Drop, Cover, and Hold On” for one minute. Participation is open to individuals, schools, and companies, with a primary action planned at the Sebastião da Gama Secondary School in Setúbal. In conjunction with awareness efforts, more than 40 locations across 15 districts will be illuminated in purple on October 31 to honor the victims of the 1755 earthquake.
