Public transport in Prague and the Central Bohemian region is undergoing significant operational changes and infrastructure adjustments.

Following a year-long trial, Prague Integrated Transport has made all-door boarding permanent on 122 regional bus lines, with plans to expand to 172 routes. While this has reduced delays, fare evasion increased from approximately 2.5% to just under 6%, prompting the deployment of additional inspectors and digital signage.

As the new school year begins, commuters face significant disruptions. Major delays of up to 30 minutes are expected on several regional bus lines, including 317, 319, 320, 392, 393, 395, 407, 416, 420, and 428. These are driven by roadwork on the I/4 road near Jíloviště, where traffic will be reduced to a single lane from September 1 to 4, and ongoing bridge repairs on the D1 highway affecting lines 401, 402, and 406.

Additional disruptions include sewer repairs in Roztocká Street affecting lines 107, 147, 340, and 350 until September 6. Prague Public Transit Company (DPP) is also implementing route adjustments for tram line 13, introducing new night bus lines 918 and 962, and modifying regional connections, such as line 414 replacing line 323, to improve connectivity to areas like Slaný.

Prague Integrated Transport (PID) has noted that passengers will not be penalized for expired tickets caused by these traffic delays, as inspectors will verify validity against the official timetable. Passengers missing connections due to delays are advised to request confirmation from the driver.
