President Droupadi Murmu is conducting a two-day official visit to Chhattisgarh on October 22 and 23, 2026, following an invitation from Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.

On the first day in Raipur, the President attended the ‘Seva Samman Parv’ and ‘Yuva Prabodhan’ programs for the Nuakhai harvest festival and released a commemorative coin honoring Mata Hasi Devi Ji at Lok Bhavan.

On October 23, the visit moved to the Bastar region in Jagdalpur. President Murmu attended the ‘Muria Darbar’ at Sirhasar Bhavan, where she engaged in direct dialogue with tribal representatives and traditional ‘Manjhi-Chalki’ leaders. She also visited the Maa Danteshwari Temple to perform prayers for the nation’s prosperity and well-being, accompanied by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Governor Ramen Deka.

This visit marks the first time a President of India has participated in the Bastar Dussehra festivities. To manage the religious, cultural, and public events, state officials coordinated extensive security measures involving approximately 1,200 personnel and multiple senior police officials.
