Italian President Sergio Mattarella has begun a three-week summer vacation in Siusi, located in the Alto Adige region. Arriving via Bolzano airport accompanied by his daughter, the President is staying at Villa Ausserer, a 19th-century residence and military training facility. 

This marks the second consecutive year the President has chosen the Dolomites for his August retreat. While the stay is intended to be private, he will continue to monitor government affairs remotely. Following his vacation, he is scheduled to attend Autonomy Day celebrations in Merano and Trento on September 5.
