Prince Andrew was arrested by Thames Valley Police on suspicion of misconduct in public office, an event described by historians as unprecedented for the modern British monarchy. The investigation is connected to his association with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Following the arrest, Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated that ‘nobody is above the law’, while Buckingham Palace expressed ‘deepest concern’ on behalf of King Charles III.

Seven months after his arrest, the investigation remains ongoing. Reports indicate that the 66-year-old is “living in limbo” while awaiting the conclusion of the probe, residing at the Sandringham estate. The scandal has also affected his former wife, Sarah Ferguson, who is reportedly facing financial difficulties and seeking a meeting with King Charles III to discuss her future and stability.
