MEGA is developing a twelve-episode religious drama series titled ‘Saint Joseph the Hesychast’, which chronicles the life of Fragiskos Koti, a man born in 1897 who became a monk on Mount Athos. The production is written by Giorgos Tsiakkas and directed by Stamos Tsamis, with a tentative premiere expected in the second half of 2027.

Lead actor Aris Servetalis has undergone a physical transformation, including growing long hair and a thick beard, to prepare for the role. Servetalis has also visited Mount Athos to observe monastic life, aiming to achieve both an “external transformation and an internal understanding” of the saint’s personality.
