The production of the film ‘La bola negra’, directed by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi, has been the subject of various reports regarding its casting and musical direction.

Following a misunderstanding involving singer Estrella Morente, who clarified that her previous comments about auditioning for the film were misinterpreted as a claim to the role played by Penélope Cruz, the focus shifted to the film’s musical elements. Olga María Ramos, a cuplet singer, served as a musical advisor for the project, assisting Cruz in performing traditional Spanish pieces such as ‘Las tardes del Ritz’ and ‘Batallón de modistillas’.
