Following a strong 2026 season featuring eight professional victories and a monument classic win, French cyclist Paul Seixas has drawn significant comparisons from cycling legend Greg LeMond. LeMond stated that Seixas is “at least as good as Tadej Pogačar was at the same age” and suggested he could succeed Bernard Hinault as the next Frenchman to win the Tour de France, provided he maintains mental focus.

As of late October, the 20-year-old Tour of Lombardia winner remains undecided regarding his professional future. Although currently under contract with Decathlon CMA CGM until the end of 2027, Seixas is being monitored by major teams such as Visma-Lease a Bike and UAE Emirates-XRG. Seixas has expressed a desire to avoid rushed negotiations, stating he is taking time to analyze his options. His immediate priorities include the World Championships in Haute-Savoie, while his participation in the next Tour de France remains unconfirmed.
