Hostile crowd behavior toward English darts player Luke Littler during the World Series of Darts Finals in Amsterdam has led to a growing boycott of Dutch tournaments. Following consistent booing and whistling from spectators, which commentator Mark Wilson described as reaching a point where it ‘spiralled out of control’, Littler threatened to avoid future events in the country.

This tension has resulted in a significant withdrawal of top-tier talent from the Players Championship 31 and 32 events in Den Bosch. In addition to Littler, high-profile players including Luke Humphries, Gerwyn Price, Jonny Clayton, Gary Anderson, Josh Rock, and Ross Smith have opted out of the October tournaments. The absences impact players' ability to qualify for the Players Championship Finals, as Littler’s withdrawal specifically affects his standing in the Players Championship Order of Merit.
