The upcoming Japanese film ‘Nanji, Hoshi no Gotoku’ (As You Like the Stars), directed by Michihito Fujii and based on the novel by Yu Nagira, has entered its promotional phase.

Lead actor Ryusei Yokohama initially discussed the project on the media platform TOKYO PRIME, noting that the film was a personal endeavor sparked by a letter he sent to the original author. Following these discussions, a completed screening event was held in Tokyo. During the premiere, Yokohama described the film as a significant milestone, marking his final project in his 20s, and expressed his ambition for the work to become a ‘modern classic’. 

Co-star Suzu Hirose and actress Yoshino Kimura also participated in the event, with Kimura noting the film serves as her final project in her 40s. The story follows a 15-year journey between two characters set in Tokyo and the Seto Inland Sea.
