In Peru, various public and charitable institutions have successfully utilized legal and extrajudicial mechanisms to resolve property disputes and recover real estate assets.

In Huánuco, the Sociedad de Beneficencia de Huánuco reached an agreement with the regional government to rent its location to the regional health directorate (Diresa) for 47,300 soles per month, resolving a dispute dating back to a 2019 eviction order. Similarly, in Cusco, the Sociedad de Beneficencia del Cusco recovered a commercial property through a police-assisted legal process after the previous tenant failed to pay rent since 2018.

In Piura, the Provincial Municipality recovered a 2,700 m² property in the Industrial Zone that had been illegally occupied since 2011. This recovery was conducted via an extrajudicial procedure under Law No. 30230, following the archiving of a lawsuit by the occupants in 2022. The municipality plans to use the land for transport and urban mobility infrastructure.
