Thanh Hoa Provincial Police arrested and prosecuted Hoang Quoc Minh, owner of the TikTok account ‘Minh Sam Son’, for spreading information contrary to legal regulations.

Minh, who recently completed a prison sentence for illegal drug trafficking, allegedly used his channel to broadcast violent and gangster-style content to attract viewers and generate income. He reportedly participated in ‘PK Live’ challenges where participants agreed on penalties for the loser. These penalties involved dangerous actions using objects capable of causing bodily harm, with the severity of the violence increasing based on the amount of digital gifts and money received from viewers.

Authorities noted that the livestreams included verbal abuse and provocations designed to incite viewers to send more money to witness the consequences of the challenges. The investigation is ongoing.
