Prosecutor Radu George Bucurică of the Caraș-Severin Tribunal Prosecutor's Office has been suspended by the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) pending disciplinary proceedings. 

This follows a High Court of Cassation and Justice ruling ordering a 30-day preventive arrest for Bucurică. The investigation relates to an early August incident in Ribița, Hunedoara County, where Bucurică allegedly possessed a lethal pistol, a knife, and tear gas despite having his weapon permit revoked in July. He reportedly refused to identify himself to police and fled the scene.
