Authorities in Ninh Binh have detained Nguyen Van Thang, also known as Thang ‘At’, on charges of “causing public disorder.” 

The incident occurred on September 28, 2026, when Thang used a mobile phone to livestream content from the Trang An Landscape Complex. The footage reportedly featured offensive language and imagery that violated social customs, including behavior that insulted the honor of citizens. 

New details from the investigation indicate the incident took place near the Cuong De restaurant and involved a confrontation with a restaurant employee, Duong Van Hung. Following provocation, Hung reportedly chased Thang with a bamboo pipe. 

Following the distribution of these videos on social media, which caused widespread public indignation, police stated the incident negatively impacted local security, order, and the region’s tourism image. Ninh Binh provincial police have officially prosecuted Thang, and authorities are continuing to expand the investigation to clarify all related details.
