The Chubut provincial government has launched several public health and environmental initiatives. In the health sector, a vaccination campaign for Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) reached an estimated 79.3% coverage among 2,426 pregnant women to reduce infant hospitalizations. 

Other health efforts include foodborne illness prevention and hygiene education for over 400 children in Trelew, as well as an eight-month professional training course for more than 60 ambulance drivers in Los Altares. 

Environmentally, the ‘Octubre sin Plásticos’ initiative in Trelew has collected over two tons of recyclable materials through the involvement of more than 39 schools to promote waste separation and the circular economy.
