Public interest in the life of Spanish singer Rocío Jurado has been highlighted by both upcoming media projects and personal reflections from those close to her.

A biographical miniseries titled ‘Rocío’ has been announced for a 2027 release. The four-part co-production between RTVE and Movistar Plus, directed by Humberto Miró, aims to provide a “rigorous and respectful portrait” of the artist. Filming for the series took place across more than 66 locations, including Chipiona and Madrid.

In parallel, recent claims by Rosa Benito regarding Jurado’s past romances have prompted responses from José Ortega Cano. Ortega Cano, Jurado’s former partner, has focused on his positive memories of her, describing her as a “wonderful woman,” while also discussing the couple’s history of medical treatments and the adoption of their children, Gloria Camila and José Fernando.
