The Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) has engaged in several initiatives to expand its academic and regional influence.

In Santo Domingo, PUCMM signed a cooperation agreement with the Latin American and Caribbean Energy Organization (OLACDE) to promote sustainable energy development and address energy poverty through regional integration and research. 

Concurrently, the university and the Fundación Madre y Maestra held an event at Columbia University in New York titled ‘Friends of Madre y Maestra: una visión compartida’. This gathering focused on strengthening ties with the Dominican diaspora and securing financial support for high-achieving students. The event also included the swearing-in of a new Board of Directors for Friends of Fundación Madre y Maestra and discussions with Columbia University representatives regarding potential academic exchanges in medicine and humanities.
