The Puglia regional government has implemented several financial measures to support economic growth and environmental stability. 

Initial efforts focused on entrepreneurship through the ‘Nidi’ fund, which saw an allocation increase of 12 million euros. This brought total resources to 95.5 million euros to assist young people, women, and those entering the labor market in establishing new businesses.

Subsequent initiatives expanded to include environmental protection and specialized microcredit. The Municipality of Fasano received 1.2 million euros to combat coastal erosion via a submerged barrier project. Additionally, a 60 million euro microcredit program, ‘Finanziamento Taranto JTF 2021-2027’, was launched for the Taranto area. Funded by the Just Transition Fund, this program provides loans between 10,000 and 200,000 euros to support small enterprises in transitioning toward energy efficiency, renewable energy, and digitalization.
