The pumpkin patch Il Giardino delle Zucche in Pignataro Maggiore, Campania, is marking its tenth anniversary. Founded in 2016 by Emily Turino, the site introduced American-style pumpkin patch traditions to Italy and has since grown into one of the largest such sites in Europe.

The tenth-anniversary celebrations include new attractions such as the ‘Giardino delle Tagete’ (Marigold Garden), accessible by tractor, and a New England-style glass greenhouse. The event also features a social campaign against cyberbullying involving Paolo Siani of the Giancarlo Siani Foundation, alongside traditional activities like pumpkin carving, painting workshops, and seasonal culinary offerings.

These festivities are part of broader pumpkin-themed agricultural celebrations across Italy, including the ‘Zucca in Piazza’ event in Rocchetta di Cengio, which highlights local culinary specialties and traditional competitions.
