Indian badminton player PV Sindhu has addressed recent challenges and developments in her professional career. She responded to reports of funding cuts that allegedly required Indian shuttlers to cover their own expenses during a European tour through Finland, Denmark, France, and Germany. Sindhu advocated for athlete support to be treated as an investment in the country’s sporting future, noting the high costs of travel and coaching relative to badminton prize money.

On the competitive front, Sindhu has returned to the world top six following performances in Nagoya, Paris, and Germany, positioning herself to potentially qualify for the World Tour Finals in December. Additionally, she credited her husband, Venkata Datta Sai, for providing essential emotional and professional support, noting his role in helping organize her support team and offering observations during tournaments.
