On September 6, Ho Chi Minh City’s run was halted by Thailand’s EST Cola, who swept the Vietnamese side in three sets: 25-19, 26-24, and 26-24. Despite late comeback attempts by Ho Chi Minh City in the final two sets, EST Cola secured a spot in the tournament final with a 4-1 elimination round record. The victory for the Thai club also ended the title-retention bid of the High Speed Hitters, who moved to the bronze medal match.
