In early October, Governor Hossam Abdel Fattah inspected food reserves and consumer complexes to monitor a price reduction initiative. This program, running from September 2026 through March 2027, expanded from 12 to 30 essential food items, offering discounts of up to 25% on products such as poultry, meat, and vegetables. Inspections also included strategic warehouses to ensure the readiness of the supply chain and the maintenance of reserves. By late October, administrative efforts expanded to include urban clearing and environmental awareness.
