In late September 2026, Qantas Loyalty announced a partnership with Expedia Group to overhaul the digital booking infrastructure for Qantas Hotels & Holidays and Jetstar Holidays. The collaboration, expected to launch in the first half of 2027, aims to integrate hotel and holiday package bookings with the Qantas App, utilizing machine learning for property recommendations and allowing customers to manage trips and loyalty points within a single ecosystem. By mid-October 2026, the group shifted focus toward expanding its presence in Western Australia. Jetstar announced plans to more than double its Perth-based cabin crew from 40 to 90 employees. This expansion includes the establishment of a new Perth cabin crew base and an emergency procedures training centre. Additionally, the group is investing in cabin upgrades for QantasLink aircraft and increasing flight frequencies, including new and expanded routes connecting Perth to Christchurch and Melbourne. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-18: Qantas expands Perth operations with Jetstar job increases Qantas is expanding its Western Australian operations, doubling Jetstar's Perth cabin crew roles and establishing a new local training centre and international flight routes. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/qantas-expands-perth-operations-with-jetstar-job-increases ### 2026-09-30: Qantas Loyalty partners with Expedia Group for travel tech overhaul Qantas Loyalty is partnering with Expedia Group B2B to transform the booking experience for Qantas and Jetstar Holidays, with a new integrated platform expected to launch in early 2027. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/qantas-loyalty-partners-with-expedia-group-for-travel-tech-overhaul --- Cite as: Qantas Group operational and technological expansion.
