Regarding judicial reforms, the LXI Legislature is working to harmonize state laws with federal mandates. This includes establishing procedures for the popular election of judges scheduled for 2028 and creating mechanisms to fill judicial vacancies. These proposed reforms will be sent to the state’s 18 municipalities for analysis and feedback. Furthermore, there is a legislative initiative to restore the historical name ‘Supremo Tribunal de Justicia del Estado’ to the judicial branch. Technological integration remains a priority as the judiciary expands the use of ‘Sonia,’ a proprietary artificial intelligence system designed to assist judges with the organization, classification, and drafting of legal documents.
