The Rai 1 variety program Domenica In launched its new season with significant changes to its cast and musical format. Host Mara Venier welcomed singer Laura Pausini as the premiere guest, during which Pausini discussed her career and reflections on the late Pippo Baudo. The show transitioned from a solo piano setup led by Stefano Magnanensi to a group-led musical format featuring singer Timothy Cavicchini. New cast members Tommaso Cerno and Enzo Miccio also joined the production.

During the premiere broadcast, the program encountered several technical difficulties. Host Mara Venier experienced audio and monitor issues, notably during a remote segment in Calabria where she was heard stating, “Non sento niente” (I can’t hear anything). Additionally, performer Timothy Cavicchini faced a microphone failure during a tribute to Pausini. These glitches prompted criticism from viewers on social media regarding the program's new format.
