India’s Ramky Group has proposed a multi-sector investment of at least US$2 billion in Ghana over a five-year period. The proposal, discussed with the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority, focuses on creating an integrated manufacturing ecosystem across pharmaceuticals, energy, waste management, agriculture, and housing.

A major element of the plan involves the phased development of a 2,000-acre industrial park designed to host manufacturing for textiles, chemicals, food processing, and medical devices. This initiative aims to leverage Ghana’s position within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). Within the energy and waste sectors, the group is exploring a 24-megawatt waste-to-power project alongside specialized facilities for medical and hazardous industrial waste treatment.
