French presidential candidate Raphaël Glucksmann has faced scrutiny following the release of leaked video footage from a private meeting on September 17. In the clips, Glucksmann criticized political figures Jean-Luc Mélenchon and Marine Le Pen regarding their debate performances, using disparaging language to describe their actions.

Glucksmann has also expanded his political commentary to international affairs and security. At a summit in Paris, he criticized U.S. President Donald Trump’s policies regarding Russian diesel exports, suggesting such moves benefit the Kremlin. Additionally, Glucksmann warned that a potential victory by Marine Le Pen in the 2027 election would represent a victory for Vladimir Putin and lead to the ‘defeat of the European continent.’
