Rayan Aït-Nouri, a defender for Manchester City, was excluded from the Algeria national team training camp following a disciplinary incident during a match against Zambia. The conflict arose after Aït-Nouri expressed dissatisfaction with being placed on the bench rather than starting. This led to a verbal altercation with technical staff, including assistant coach Anthar Yahia and general manager Moussa Saïb, resulting in head coach Brahim Hemdani sending the player back to his club.

Following the incident, the technical staff established two conditions for Aït-Nouri to rejoin the squad: he must issue a public apology to the coaching staff and supporters, and he must regain consistent playing time and competitive form with Manchester City. As of the latest reports, neither condition has been met, as the player has not issued a formal apology and his recent club involvement has been limited.
