RC Deportivo faced Real Betis in a seventh-round LaLiga EA Sports fixture at the Abanca-Riazor stadium. Prior to the match, Betis manager Pellegrini highlighted the necessity of defensive concentration to manage Deportivo’s offensive threats, while Deportivo prepared for the absence of Angeliño due to a red card.

The match concluded in a draw. Deportivo goalkeeper Leo Román was noted for a significant performance, including a key save against a header from Marc Roca to prevent an early lead for Betis. While analysts praised Román’s reflexes and physical presence, they noted he is still working on “maintaining mental serenity and consistency” regarding his positioning during high-pressure moments.
