Real Madrid is actively monitoring several players for potential transfers and squad reinforcement. The club has identified Dutch midfielder Kees Smit of AZ Alkmaar as a long-term target to address future needs in central midfield. However, Smit is reportedly close to accepting a contract extension with AZ Alkmaar through June 2030, which would complicate Real Madrid’s efforts to sign him.

In addition to Smit, Real Madrid is targeting Bayern Munich midfielder Aleksandar Pavlović for the winter market to improve ball control and tactical balance. The club is also managing developments regarding winger Brahim Díaz, who has faced limited playing time and has drawn interest from Juventus, despite reports of a possible contract extension through 2030.
